Gock Block / Jam Block Handle and Stick Holder for LP Medium
Description
July 29 2017 I Uploaded A Slightly Modified Version Of These Models That Help Reinforce The Connection To The Handle And Should Make The Stick Holder A Little Stronger. I Am A Marching Band Show Designer And Instructor And These "Gock" Blocks Are What I See Most Instructors And Directors Use. I Have Had One For Like 8 Years And Finally Decided To Ditch The Awkward Mounting Hardware I Was Using As A Handle For A New 3D Printed Handle. I Also Decided To Make A Stick Holder To Make Sure I Don'T Lose It. The Handle Has A Place To Loop A Lanyard Onto, Too. I Have Been Using This For A Few Hours Worth Of Rehearsal And Seems To Be Holding Up Well. As Far As Needed Hardware, I Just Designed This For Screws And Nuts I Had In My Scrap Hardware Box, But I'Ll Give A Basic Description Of What'S Needed. The Hex Nut Hole Is About 12Mm On The Model, But I Used A 11M Nut And It Fits Really Well. The Screw/Bolt Just Needs To Fit Through The Hole In The Gock Block And About 1"-2" Long. The Hole Is Designed With A Countersink. The Handle Is Based On Captain Obvious'S Gopro Handle Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:278035 If There'S Anyone Out There That Actually Prints And Uses One Of These Feel Free To Let Me Know How It Worked Out!
