Tibetan Pagoda
Description
The Story Goes Like This: I Received A Season Pass For Disney World For Xmas, And Went To Animal Kingdom Near The End Of January. While Walking On One Of The Trails To See Animal Exhibits, I Noticed Each Corner Had These Little, 2-3 Foot Tall Pagodas That Were Setup To Be Lights Or Lanterns Along The Path, However, There Were No Lights In Them. I Figure It Was A Failed Attempt By Disney, But They Left The Pagodas. I Took Pictures Of A Bunch Of Them And Decided To Try And Model A Few. I Ended Up Spending 6+ Hours Making One Just To Get All The Detail In The Filigree On The Top And You Are Seeing The End Result.
Warning: The Hi-Poly Files Are Very Large And Would Lock Up My Slic3R For A While.
I Suggest Only Using Them If You Plan To Upscale The Modelby 200% Or More. - I Have Printed It In All The Individual Pieces, But Have Not Tried The Whole Thing As One. It Is Designed To Print As A Whole (See The 3D View Of The Top Stepped Piece To See The Cavity Inside So You Don'T Need Supports). -There Is A Two Part Version (Labeled "Twopart") That Should Stop Complications With The Top Of The Piece Becoming Mush (Print The Top And Bottom Together In One Go).
There'S Already A Rev B Of The Two Part Lower. I Missed A Chamfered Edge That Would Have Caused Your Printer To Bridge A 2Cm Gap.
Look For More Pagodas Soon...
