G2S Universal Effector System - MK8

Description

*[Jan 1, 2017] Heads Up To Those Who May Be About To Print This Design. You Might Want To Postpone For A Week Or So As I Am Currently Working On An All New, Second Generation Design Which Will Offer A Number Of Significant Improvements.* This Is A New Delta "Spider" System For The Geeetech Delta G2S Printer. It Features An Integrated Print Cooling Solution Along With Interchangeable Adapters For Several Popular Extruder Models. This Release Includes An Adapter For The Stock Geeetech Mk8 Extruder Assembly. Adapters For E3D Chimera And J-Head Extruders, As Well As 40Mm Fan Ducts, Are Posted Separately. Dual Extruders Are Arranged Side-By-Side (Instead Of Front-To-Back) And Raised Up So That Only The Heat Blocks And Nozzles Extend Below The Spider. Final Leveling Of Dual Extruders May Be Accomplished Simply By Tightening The 2 Adapter Mounting Screws While Both Nozzles Are Resting On The Print Bed. Single Extruder Configurations Are Also Supported. The Front (Lower) Fan Is For Extruder Cooling, Always On. The Rear (Upper) Fan Is For Print Cooling, Program Controlled. I Used M3 Hardware For Most Of The Assemblies, Except The Print Fan Ducts Attach To The Spider Using #6 X 3/8 Inch Sheet Metal Screws. This Makes It Easy To Remove The Upper Duct (For Access To The Extruders) Without Disturbing The Lower Duct. Major Update: Complete Refresh With Finalized Designs. The Spider Should Require Somewhat Less Filing To Fit The Diagonal Rod Mounts. Stiffness Of The Mk8 Adpter Has Been Improved. Lower Fan Duct Redesigned For Better Clearance Around Heat Blocks. Extruder Cooling Duct Enlarged For Better Coverage. Update: An Enlarged Version Of This Spider Is Here: [Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1430737] Added [Rocking Adapter](Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1520076) To Go With The Enlarged Spider. [Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1381000] Posted My Own Lazer Zprobe: [Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1657304] ~~I Do Not Plan To Design A Z-Probe For This Spider.~~ Auto Leveling Has Never Worked Particularly Well For Me, I Always Get Better Results By Dialing It In Manually. Someone Else Has Posted A Z-Probe Attachment: [Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1446756] Installing The New Spider Is Also A Perfect Opportunity To Add My Diagonal Rod Washers. [Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1353040] Also Be Sure To Check The Bolts On Your Carriages, A Some Of Mine Had Become Quite Loose, Allowing The Spider To Tilt.
