Polaris Bag Clamp

Polaris Bag Clamp

Description

**Update** I Changed Too Many Variables Between My First Print That Works For Now But Cracked (Pictured) And My Second Print. I Had Increased The Inside Diameter And The Wall Thickness Of The Model And The Number Of Perimeters And Infill Of The Print. It Snapped Into Place Without Cracking But It Took A Lot Of Effort And The Velcro Loop Broke Off. I'M Trying A Third Time With The Modified File But With Only Two Perimeters And 30% Infill. **Follow Up** The 2 Perimeter, 30% Infill Worked Well. Pretty Hard To Snap On. I'M Wondering If The First Version With 3 Perimeters And 30% Infill Would Work... Hmmm. The Clamp That Holds One Of My Polaris Pool Vacuum Filter Bags In Place Broke. The Clips Come With The Bags And I Usually Have A Stash Of Old Ones From When The Bag Shreds Before The Clip Breaks. Unfortunately I'M Fresh Out And The Bag Has A Little Life Left In It. The Pictures Are From My First Attempt. It Was Printed As A Test With Pla, 2 Perimeters And 15% Infill. It Cracked When I Snapped It Around The Hose Post. Version 2 Has A Slightly Larger Inside Diameter To Ease The Stress On The Part When Snapping Into Place And I'M Going To Print It With 60% Infill And 3 Perimeters. Earlier This Summer I Threw A Calibration Print (Pla) Into The Pool To See How It Held Up. After Three Months The Color Had Faded Slightly But It Was Still Strong And Had Not Delaminated At All. This Is The First Work Focused Part That I'Ve Printed With The Intent Of Leaving In The Pool For A Long Period Of Time. Has Anyone Else Had Any Luck With Prints Long Term In Pools?
