Mira Go Shower Water Inlet Bracket Clip

Mira Go Shower Water Inlet Bracket Clip

Description

My Shower Failed And The First Thing I Knew About It Was Water Coming Through The Ceiling In The Room Below. After Turning Off The Main Stop Cock And The Electric Power, I Removed The Cover To Find A Clip Had Fractured - The Clip Which Holds The Water Inlet Filter Assembly In Place. Without It, Water Was Shooting Everywhere. So, 3D Printer At The Ready I Rose To The Challenge. I Took The Measurements Off The Broken Part With A Vernier Calipre And Created The Sketchup Model Of It. I Ran It Through Modelrepair.Azure To Get The Mesh Completed Properly (This Took A Couple Of Goes), Then Printed It. It All Looked Pretty Good, And Almost Identical To The Broken One. I Refitted The Shower And Turned The Water On With My Heart In My Mouth. Hey Presto - It Worked! Not A Drop Of Water In Sight. Suddenly The 3D Printer That Keeps Dad In The Garage Has Won New Fans. It Means The Family Can Have Showers This Evening And It Saved Us £150 In Plumber Call Out Charges And A Replacement Shower. Surprised Even Myself. So In The Unlikely Event That Someone Else Not Only Has The Same Fault, But Also Thinks Of Printing The Broken Part, Then Here You Go. Good Luck!
