Description

Update: I'Ve Been Having Some Cooling Issues From Certain Angles Using The Original Duct Design. I'Ve Since Changed It To The Mk2 Design, However I Cannot Find The Original Thingi Link. If You Recognise This As Your Design, Please Let Me Know So I Can Ref You. As With The Original, The Duct Outlet Has A Blocking Tab To Prevent Support Which Needs To Be Removed After Printing. --- I Wanted To Mount The Stock Cooling Fan At The Rear Without Having To Print Custom Bearing Blocks Or Tap The Existing Aluminium Block Holes, So I Cobbled Together A Bunch Of Other People'S Models In Tinkercad, Added A Few Stretched Cubes And Came Up With This. This Was The Third Attempt As The First Two Were Too Small To Span The Gap And Also To Fit The Fan. After Printing, The Fan Adapter Portion May Require Some Filing Down To Fit Due To Bridging/Sag Issues. The Three Small Tabs Below The Air Ducts Are To Stop The Support From Build Plate Of Cura Messing The Inside Of The Nozzles. Those Portions Shouldn'T Need Support. It Also Might Be Noisier Than The Stock Shroud. Home Your Z Axis After Installation To Ensure The Shroud Isn'T Getting Torqued Into The Print Bed. There Should Be About 5Mm Of Clearance. Feel Free To Mix This, But Please Give Credit To The Original Designs This Came From As They Deserve All The Credit.
