Raspberry Pi Touchscreen Acrylcase
Description
So, My Raspberry Pi 7-Inch Touchscreen Made Its Way To Me. But This Cool (And Fragile) Touchdisplay Should Get A Cool Looking And Functional Case That Protects The Glass-Surface From Breaking Which Can Happen Real Quick When You Drop It. I Have Drawn Some Concept Doodles Which Started With Messuring The Dimensions Of The Touchscreen. Turned Out That This Final Design Was Better Than Even I Would Have Thought. Notice: The Touchscreen Is Not Exactly In Center With The Backplate! Here And There It You Might Have To Edit Or Change Some Details But It Works Great For Me And Is Pretty Stable, Protects The Screen And You Have Good Access To The Backside Where The Raspberry Pi Is Attached To The Touchscreen And You Can Mount A Rpi-Camera On Top! It Has A Good Airflow Around The Pcbs Because It`S Open To Almost All Sides And The Honeycomb Design Makes It A Little Bit Less Heavy. The .Dxf File Is Made For Lasercutters Only!!! I Used Z-Offset: -2,5 (For 5Mm Acrylic) And -1,5 (For 3Mm Acrylic) What You Will Need: 4X M4X15Mm Bolts With Washers And Nuts, 4X M3X15Mm Bolts With Washers And Nuts, 4X M3X8Mm Bolts With Washers (To Mount Packplate To Display Backside), 3Mm And 5Mm Acryl Sheets. (Optional) For The Rpi-Camera: M2,5X5Mm With Washer And Nut. The Sideparts As Well As The Plate On The Backside Of The Display Are Made With 5Mm And The Other Parts With 3Mm Acrylsheets. You Might Need To Edit The Vectorfile So Your Usb-Cable Will Fit Onto The Display-Pcb If You Power The Rpi Via Usb. I Recommend To Use The Cables That Come With The Rpi-Display.
