Adapter hub for RC toy to make a side paddle wheel boat.

Description

This Hub Makes A Side Paddle Wheel Drive Out Of A Differential Drive Battle Wheels Radio Controlled Toy. The Hex Shaft Of The Original Toy Has A Screw Hole In The End. To Print This Hub Without Support I Just Provided A Guidance Dimple For Drilling Through Before Inserting The Screw. I Made The 4 Paddles From The Sides Of A Polyethylene Margarine Tub With The Curves Facing Backward. The Paddles Then Bend For Protection From Impacts On Obstacles, But Spring Back Into Shape Afterwards. They Turned Out To Be 73Mm Long By 53Mm Wide With A Lot Of Variation Due To Me Not Caring. The Minimal Boat I Made Out Of Closed Cell Packing Foam Was Easily Able To Pull Itself Onto The Small Ice Chuck On Our Melt-Water Puddles And Claw Its Way Over Them To The Water On The Other Side. I Found This Out When My Fearless 7 Year Old Just Tried It. :) Water Proof The Electronics Before Trying This. The Paddles *Fling* Water Quite High. I Also Made A Arched Roof Over Everything With The Plastic Window From The Original Box But It Was Not Enough When The Thing Flipped Over Completely.
