Description
This Is An Adapter To Mount A Pcb Router To An I3 Rework Carriage. It Is Suggested To Orient The Print, Using Support Material, So The Carriage Mount Is Vertical And The Motor Holder Is Horizontal And Use 60% Infill. This Will Yield The Strongest Print. I Use Slic3R And It Defaulted In The Correct Orientation. I Sourced The Motor From Aliexpress: Http://Www.Aliexpress.Com/Item/2015-New-Mini-Mirco-Electric-Pcb-Motor-Drill-Press-Drilling-Bits-Tool-Twist-Drill-12V/32580675006.Html The Motor Has An O.D. Of 29Mm. There Is Also A Small Bracket That Fastens To The Side In Order To Keep The Wires From Ripping Off The Motor. Please Rotate This 180 Degrees From The Picture, So That The Recessed Part Of The Screw Holes Are On Top. It Prints Better This Way. I Used M3X12 Plastic Screws From Mcmaster: (Http://Www.Mcmaster.Com/#96817A370) I Had Them Them At The House, But They Were A Little Long. One Of The Screws Touches The Motor Before Tightening The Clamp, So Either Change The Source For Your Needs, Or Buy A Shorter Fastener For The Holes. 10Mm Should Probably Be Fine...
