GoPro Brushless Gimbal for Drones

GoPro Brushless Gimbal for Drones

Description

*Edit: I Redesigned The Offset Part So That The Camera Tilts Over Its Center Of Mass Rather Than Its Lense. In Addition, The Offset Part Can Now Be Printed Without Support. Roll Axis Arm Is Now 4Mm Shorter. I'M Always Trying To Get Aerial Video As Smooth As Possible And This Gimbal Is Designed To Do Just That. It Is Still In Development But The Aim Is To 3D Print A Light But Sturdy Gimbal That Produces Professional Grade Video Without Jello Or Other Nasty Effects. I Have Designed This Gimbal To Work With My Tarot Zyz22 Gimbal Controller And Quanum 2208 Motors. The Zyz22 Controller Mount Is Included In The Thing Files. The Gimbal Should Work With Other Controllers As Well. I Haven'T Yet Desinged Any 3D Printable Vibration Isolator As I Use [This One](Http://Www.Hobbyking.Com/Hobbyking/Store/__40618__Vibration_And_Shock_Absorbing_Mounts_400G_A4Plus4_100G_.Html) From Hobbyking. Features: * Tilt Motor Arm Is Adjustable For Getting Good Balance * Gopro Lense Is Centered As Close To Roll Axis As Possible Which Removes Annoying Wobbling From Video * Easy To Print, Robust Shapes And No Long Bridges * Gopro Can Be Secured With A Velcro Fastener * Gopro Filter Can Be Attached All Holes Are For M3 Nuts And Bolts, Except Two Smaller M2 Holes For Zyz22 Controller Board. I Recommend To Put Some Thin Foam Under The Camera To Make The Gopro Holder Nice And Tight. Please Print And Test The Gimbal And Feel Free To Comment And Suggest Your Ideas! Pid-Tuning Can Be A Pain In The Ass But It Is An Absolute Key To Get Perfect Video Quality. A Good Deal Of The Jitters And Flaws Derive From Bad Pid-Tuning, Not Only From Poor Vibration Isolation Or Unbalanced Propellers. First Test (Tested With Poor Pid Tuning...)
