Tiny filament spool for small printers (M8 rod axis)
Description
I Needed A Small Filament Spool To Put Alongside With One Of My Little Printers To Keep Things Small And Portable, So I Made This Thing. I Kept The Core At 50Mm Diameter To Avoid Filament Break And Also A 70Mm Length To Store Enough Of It. It Is Still Tiny Enough And Nice. The Inner Hole Diameter Is 9Mm To Be Holded By A M8 Rod. You Will Also Need 6Xm4 Bolts & Nuts To Complete The Setup. You'Ll Also Need 2X608Zz Bearings In Case You Use The Bearing Version. 608Zz Core Version Requires Support For Printing. Hint: To Attach The Beginning Of The Filament To The Core Use A Tiny Bit Of Tape Or Use The Filament Insert Hole. Update (11-May-2016): Added Two New Core Models For Lower Core Profiles Of 50Mm And 40Mm Height. This Maintains The Proportion Similar As A Normal Spools, Making The Whole Thing Very Cool, Altough It Stores Less Filament. I Didn'T Made Any Measure But I Think It Could Handle Almost 80M Of 1.75 Filament. Cool For A Miniprinter. The Beer In The Pic Is Just For Scale Comparison Purposes, You Know... Update (10-May-2016): Added Two New Models For Two 608Zz Embedded Bearings Spool. In This Case The Core Model Requires Touching Buildplate Support. This Model Runs Smoother But This Increases The Risk Of Filament Unspooling. Added A Filament Insert Hole. Deleted Simple Side Model To Avoid Confussion, The 608Zz Version Works With Both Cores.
