This Is An Enhancement To The Printrbot Simple Y Upgrade Done By Iamjonlawrence. Jon, Thank You! Because Of Your Excellent Work, My Print Volume Is Increased Over 400%. I Printed My Parts In Pla, And Found That I Really Needed A Cooling Fan For The Y Motor To Keep The Plastic From Softening And Sagging. I Went The Safe Route With A Separate Power Supply And Switch. I Also Went Thru A Couple Of Iterations Of The Fan Mount, Adding A Partial Shroud To Deflect More Air To The Motor, And Changing Dimensions To Prevent Noisy Rattle During Operation. Nothing Fancy About The Printing. Only Small Overhangs For The Screw Holes. Upgrade: If The Original Works For You, Then Great. I Found After A While, The Original Mount Started To Vibrate, Which Impacted The Print Quality. So, I Added Another Screw Hole For The Fan, And Increased The Width To Make It Easier To Assemble. During The First Couple Of Prints, It Seems Much Quieter. I May Get Around To Adding More Air Deflectors. But, This Seems To Work Pretty Well For Now.
