Kress quick-action lock power connector
Description
After Having My Kress 1050-1 Milling Motor Converted To Trim Router With My Trim Router Base (Thing 1611593), I Needed An Extra Power Cable Since The Original Is Integrated In The Gantry Of My Cnc Table. A Kress Power Cable With A Special Quick-Action Lock Connector Costs About 25 Euros Incl Shipping, Which Is Pretty Expensive, So I'Ve Made The Connector Myself. The Quick-Action Lock Connector Is Used By Over 35 Kress Tools What You Need: - This Connector Printed (Duh..) - Two 6.3Mm Crimp Automotive Style Connectors Female (Cable Shoes) - Two M3 20Mm Screws With Nuts - An Redundant Pc Power Cord - Soldering Iron - Some Hot Glue How You Do It: - Cut Of The Unused Connector Of The Power Cord. - Strip The Outer Mantle Just Far Enough To Be Able To Poke The 2 Wires Through The Connector - Crimp And Solder The Wires To The Cable Shoes And Push Them Back In The Connector - Use Hot Glue To Secure The Wires (And By That The Cable Shoes Stay In Place) - Twist The Outer Cable A Few Times Until The Mantle Reaches The Strain Relief - Put The Screw And Bolt In And Tighten I Made A Version With Strain Relief Using M3 Bolt, But Also Have Included A Version Without. The Latter Was My First Version And Relies On The Hot Glue And Your Common Sense :-) I Printed Them Upright In Abs At 0.2Mm With Support (Which Is Easy To Remove)
