Gears backlit picture frame
Description
This Is A Backlit 11X17 Picture Frame I Made On My Laser Cutter. There Are Four Layers, The Face, A 1/2" Spacer, A Reflector, And A Back. I Made The Face Using A Combination Of Etching And Cutting To Ensure That It Would Hold Together But Let Light Shine Through And Mask A Bit Of The Leds. The 1/2" Spacer Is Perfect For A Band Of Leds. The Two Back Pieces Hold The Picture With The Front One Reflecting The Light. I Cut The Face Frame Using 1/4" Maple Veneered Mdf, And Used A Few Coats Of Polyurethane. The Spacer Is 1/2" Plywood. And The Back Two Are 1/4" White Melamine Mdf. The Outside Dimensions Are 15.5" X 21.5". Initially I Cut The Spacer And Back Pieces In 4 Pieces Each But I Found It Difficult To Glue Them Up Square, So I Recommend Cutting Them As Single Pieces.
