Y axis clamp for Geetech Prusa i3
Description
My Geetech Prusa I3 Came With An Aluminium Block That The Y Axis Belt Had To Be Attached To By Drilling A Couple Of Holes In The Belt And Screwing A Bolt Through The Belt Into The Block. I Was Never Happy With The Design As It Always Seemed To Pull The Belt Slightly To One Side And Too High And Adjusting The Tension Was Impossible. When The Y Axis Tensioner/Bearing Seized I Decided To Get A Better Quality Bearing And, With It, A Better Quality Belt And Didn'T Want To Have The Same Tensioning Issues Again. I Based The Design, Instead, On The Clamp That I Used For The X-Carriage As That Has Worked Really Well Without Any Problems. The Attached .Scad File Has All The Size Variables At The Top Which Should Allow The Depth Of The Clamp And Everything Else To Be Customised. The Attached .Stl File Is Set Up For My Geetech Prusa I3 But May Work For Similar Designs Without Customisation. If Anyone Wants A .Stl With Different Parameters And Doesn'T Want To Modify The .Scad File Themselves, Let Me Know !
