Nameplate / Doorsign 8x5cm
Description
This Thing Is A 8X5Cm Nameplate / Doorplate. The Freecad Source File Is Included. If You Need Help On How To Create 3D Text In Freecad Read This Tutorial. It Should Be Easy To Create A Sign With Not Intersecting Fonts. The Example File "Maison Edith" Shows A Font Where The Single Letters Intersect Each Other. This Can Cause Problems In Feecad If You Try Boolean Tools (E.G. Boolean Cut To Create Engraved Text). I Was Not Able To Solve This Problem. Of Course You Can Always Try To Have A Boolean Cut For Each Letter (Letter By Letter) To Circumvent This Problem. Instead I Created An Extruded Text String, Placed It On Top Of The Plate And Created A Compund Instead Of Performing A Boolean Join. After Exporting The Stl I Ran The File Through Netfabb To Generate A Printable File.
