Steam Turbine Model - Low Pressure Rotor V2
Description
This Is A Beautifully Detailed Low Pressure Steam Turbine Rotor. The Stl Files Are In 1:18 Scale And Includes As Much Detail Found On A Real Machine As Possible. This Model Is Designed To Be Assembled With Glue. All Parts Except Lp_Bore_Plug, 20T_Blade, And 20G_Blade Should Be Glued Together. Superglue + Clamping For 10 Minutes Worked Well For Me. Lp_Bore_Plug Is Designed To Be Removable With A Slight Friction Fit. 20T And G Blades Are Secured In Place With A T-Slot Groove. The Assembly Was Designed To Fit 58 Blades But I Was Only Able To Insert 55. Don'T Glue These In Place Because You May Need To Replace Broken Blades At Some Point In The Future. See Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1676760 For The Rotor Stand. See Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1666208 For The Lifting Beam. This Is V2 Of The Low Pressure Steam Turbine Rotor. Parts Are Generally Comparable With Version 1. V1 Is Here- Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1616343 Pros Compared To V1: Greatly Reduced Part Count Reduced Printing Time Reduced Assembly Time Reduced Sanding Time Reduced Plastic Volume Interfaces Between Sections Are Better Hidden Cons Compared To V1: Some Realism Is Lost. The Radii Between Stages Have Been Changed To 45° Chamfers. The Chamfers Have Been Kept Unrealistically Small In Order To Be Printable Without Supports. For Most People, This Is Not Noticeable. Update 2017/04/23 Corrected Scaling Of 19T. Fixed 16G/16T To Be Mirror Blade Orientations.
