Y-Axis Motor Mount, OpenSCAD, MaxMicron
Description
The Maxmicron Printer Comes With A Very Flimsy Y-Axis Motor Mount, That Can Twist And Break With No Proper Support For The Motor If The Y- Belt Is Tensioned. Mine Nearly Broke. Here Is A Fully Braced And Supported Y-Axis Mount That Is A Drop In Replacement For The Maxmicron One, And Could Be Useful For Other Al 20-20 Profile Machines. This Is A Parallel Evolution To Thomllama'S Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1633542 The Main Difference Is My Ridiculous Over Engineering And The Addition Of A Back Support For The Motor, Between The Motor And The Frame. The Design Comes In An Openscad File, And Four Stl Versions. A Version Is In One Piece, And Is Very Strong But Requires Supports To Print, Another Version Is In Two Pieces And Can Be Printed Without Supports, But Is A Little Less Elegant (But Fully Functional). There Are Two Variant Stl Files For Each, For M4 Or M5 Mounting Bolts. The Openscad File Has User Selectable Options At The Start To Generate The Stls.
