Doinker propeller cutter
Description
Doinker Is An Awesome Little Micro Quad, But It Uses 2535 Propellers That Are Cut To Size, To Fit Inside The Ducts. Cutting Propellers Can Be A Hassle, And Hard To Get The Cuts Equal On All Blades. Introducing The Nailclipper-Powered Prop Cutter! It Has A Mounting For A Motor (Adapted For Rotorx 1105 Motor). Mount A Motor With The 6Mm Screws, Add A Propeller, And Then Just Cut It To Size. It Would Probably Have Been Easier To Have A Metal Rod To Hold The Propeller In Place Instead Of A Motor, But I Didn'T Have Any At Hand, So Went With This Approach Instead. I Hope It Can Prove Useful To Someone Else As Well :) The Model Is Adapted For A Standard Small Nail Clipper (12Mm Wide, 54.5Mm Tall). A Blender File Is Included, So Feel Free To Adapt The Cutter For Your Specific Nail Clipper, Prop Size, Motor And Similar. To Export From Blender, Mark The Object And Select Export -> Stl, Then Select "Selection Only" And "Apply Modifiers" Checkboxes And Set Scale To 1000. Note! You Have To Pre-Cut Them A Few Mm With The Clipper Before They Will Fit Inside The Nail Clipper. Just Cut Them A Few Millimeters Longer Than They Need To Be And Use This Tool To Cut Them Exactly To Length After. Happy Flying! **Updated 2016-12-08:** The Exported Scale Of The Object Was Wrong, Which Made Some Slicers Fail When Loading The Stls. Updated With Correct Scale, Hopefully This Works Better Now.
