120mm Case Fan Duct for PCI/ATX Expansion Slot
Description
A Duct That Adapts A 120Mm Fan To Blow Out The Pci/Atx Expansion Slots. The Exhaust Opening Takes Up 3 Slots, With A 25Mm-Thick Fan Taking One More Slot. The Combined Assembly Takes Up Exactly 4 Slots Of Width. The Bottom Of The Duct Should Clear Both Pci-E And Taller Conventional Pci Slots. You Can Mount The Fan With Fan Screws Or Cable-Ties. Print With The Largest Flat Side (The Side Opposite The One Where The Fan Mounts) On The Build Plate. Supports Are Needed For A Very Small Overhanging Part Of The Pci Bracket. In Cura, The Setting For Supports Is "Touching Build Plate". This Keeps It From Generating Supports Between The Vent Fins, Where They Are Difficult To Remove. If You Don'T Have This Option, It Might Be Better To Turn Off Supports Altogether And Let The Bracket Sag A Little. **Versions:** * **V1.0** - Initial Revision And The Versions You See In The Pictures Above. * **V1.1** - Thickened Pci Slot Brackets From 1.2Mm To 2.0Mm. This May Be Too Thick To Fit Between The Slot Between Your Motherboard And Case, So Measure It Before Printing. * **V1.1_Rotated** - Same As 1.1, But Rotated To Lay Flat On The Build Plate. (Z-Axis Faces Up) * **V1.1B** - Branch Of V1.1. The Tongue That Slides Between The Edge Of The Motherboard And The Wall Of The Case Has Been Shortened To Accommodate 200 Mm Diameter Build Plates. (See The Last Two Pictures That Have A White Background) This Version Does Not Need Supports. * **V1.1C** - Branch Of V1.1. The Opening Where The Fan Mounts Points The Other Direction.
