Dust Cap for Z-Rod Anet A6, for free movement of Z-Rod without catching dust from above.
Description
I Was Wondering, Why The Z-Rods Are The Only Parts In The Anet A6-Setup, That Looks As If They Have Been Forgotten And Left Standing In Some Holes. See Pictures Above Without The Caps. So I Designed And Printed Some Caps, Fitting Inside The Anet A6'S Acrylic-Frame. They Are As Thin As Possible To Just Cover The Holes, Giving The Z-Rods Enough Space Above And To The Sides To Move Free. So They Will Not Get The Dust From Above, But Is Not Hindered In His Movement. As Designer Eriobis Has Mentioned Here: Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1610611/#Comments And 1Bige Mentioned Here: Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1473965/#Comments , The Z-Rod Is Not To Be Forced At That Point! I Learned, That Designer Jadames Has Designed And Published His Very Similar Caps And Take The Other Approach By Building A Tight Fit Around The Rods. I Am Referencing To Him As A Remix-Source, Since He Does The Same With Mine To Point To The Two Different Approaches Possible. Which One Is Best For Clearing Out The Wobble Will Maybe Be Shown At A Direct Comparison Later. Anyone That Might Want To Test Both And Share His Results Is Welcome To Post Them Into The Comments :) Designed With 123D Design. Sliced With Cura. Resolution 0.2 - Everything Else Quite Standard Settings, For It Is Just A Small Part. Did I Mention: You'Ve Got To Print Two Of Them! ;O) The Print In The Pictures Is Not My Final. It Was Printed Before Some More Upgrades That Stabilized My X-Wobble. Have A Look At My Other Designs Soon.
