The Model With Nubs Allows You To Put A Dab Of Abs Cement On The Threads Of A 3/8 Nut And Twist Them On. You May Want To Shave A Tiny Bit Off The Corners Of The Nubs To Make This Easier. Both Models Make Nice Little Compact Spinners That Are Also Economical (Since 3/8 Nuts Are Very Inexpensive). Sorry If You Live In A Primarily Metric Area.
