I Love My Printrbot Simple Metal And Have Upgraded It Quite Heavily, As Do Most People Who Own One. However, I Couldn'T Find A System I Liked To Keep All The Add-Ons And Cabling In Place Neatly, So I Decided To Create My Own System. Space Is An Issue In My Shop, So Keeping Everything In One Tight Package Is Important And Also Makes The Machine Much More Pleasant To Operate And Look At. This Add-On System Is Modular And Would Be Great For Anyone Who Has Upgraded To A Larger Bed, A Heated Bed, And/Or An Lcd Screen. This System Does The Following; Raises The Printer On Legs To Help Stability And Give Extra Room For Cabling (Such As The Extended Atx Power Supply Jacks) Provides An Interlocking, Flush Mounted Lcd Housing For Standard Reprapdiscount 20X4 Lcd Display Screens Provides An Interlocking Atx Power Supply Mount When Printed And Installed, The Total Footprint Of The Printer Is Utilized Efficiently And Operated Sideways To Provide Easier Access To The Sd Card Slot. I Connected The Lower Support Brackets By Sliding A Strip Of 1/4" Sintra Plastic Through The Central Gaps, But It Would Be Easy To Make A Printed Part To Replace This If That'S Requested.
