Pi Zero ActionCam - FPV

Pi Zero ActionCam - FPV

Description

I Designed This Cam For My Quadcopter, The Crossfire 2. The Pi Zero Has A Video-Out, So The Idea Was, To Have A Live Picture And To Record Full-Hd-Video At The Same Time. Of Course You Can Use The Cam Without A Copter Too. How It Works: Power-On - Switch The Cam On And The Pi Will Boot And Start The Actioncam, Indicated By Lighting Up The Status-Led. Video - Push Button Short, This Switches On The Prewiew (For Fpv) And Starts Recording Video Push Again To Stop Record Timelapse - Push Button For At Least A Second - This Starts The Prewies (For Fpv) And Beginns To Catpture Pictures Every 3 Seconds. Push Buton Again To Stop. Shutdown - Push Button Longer Than 5 Seconds. The Pi Will Shut Down. Wait A Few More Seconds After The Status-Led Goes Out, Before You Switch The Pi Off. Assembly: You Have To Solder The Components. Look For The Read-Me And The Code On Git.Hub To See Which Ports/Pins On The Raspberry Are Used For Push-Button And Status-Led. I Used A Little Breadboard To Solder Both, Button And Led. There Are Guides In The Lid, That Hold The Board When Assembled. Https://Github.Com/Willie42/Pi-Actioncam On Github You´Ll Find The Python3 Code For The Cam Itself And A Shell Script To Convert The Video Into A Common Format (Mp4). Partlist: Rasperry Pi Zero Rasperry Cam (V1.3 Or 2.0) Push-Button Small Switch Standard 3Mm Led (And/With Resistor) Lipo 1S Min. 500 Mah Power Boost 5V / Lipo-Charge-Module Nano Wifi- Or Blutooth-Adapter To Get The Films/Pictures Of The Camera Update 26.03.17: I Will Not Continue To Work On It. While Testing I Had Massive Frame Drops. This And Limitation To 5M When Using Live Video-Out Made Me Decide To Buy A Runcam2 For My Crossfire Quadcopter.
