DIY Stratosphere Spacecraft- High Altitude Balloon Project

Description

This Will Be A High Altitude Balloon Project Build. Basically The Plan Is To Launch A Helium Filled Latex Weather Balloon To Approximately 100,000 Feet Carrying A Payload Of Cameras, Experiments And Data Logging Equipment. This Will Put It In The Realm Of Near-Space/Stratosphere. I Will Post The Construction Videos/Tutorials/Source Files & Arduino Code As We Progress Through The Build. All 3D Printed Parts Will Be Completed On My Solidoodle 2 3D Printer And Should Be Easily Replicated By Others. Ideally We Will Complete The High Altitude Balloon (Hab) Prior To April 18Th 2014. That Weekend Stanford University Has Organized The Global Space Balloon Challenge (As Well This Is The Best Time For My Area To Recover The Payload). The Basics Will Consist Of: A Weather Balloon Hab Payload Enclosure 2 Gps Trackers For Recovery (An Android Phone And A Spot Trace Unit) Hd Video (Hopefully I Can Find A Suitable One) Cannon Camera With Chdk For Still Images Arduino Barometric Pressure Logging Temperature Logging (Inside And Outside The Payload) Recovery Parachute Heating System Other Sensors/Electronics To Be Determined... If You Have Any Items, Skills, Or Funds You Wish To Donate To The Project Please Feel Free To Contact Me. Would Love To Have You On The Team.
