Kindle Fire Gen1 Case with stylus holder

Kindle Fire Gen1 Case with stylus holder

Description

I Wanted To Make A Sort Of Electronic Lab Notebook Using A Surplus Kindle Fire I Happened To Have Laying Around, So I Made This Case! The Kindle Sits In The Case Upside Down So The Power Plug And Button Ends Up At The Top (What Maniac At Amazon Made The Power Button On The Bottom!?) The Back Protrudes A Bit From The Case So The Rubbery Material Can Engage With A Glass Wall And Prevent Slip (I Used This Thing With A Laminar Flow Tissue Culture Hood, Works Well!) You Can Stick Some Rubbery Stuff Along The Outside Of The Case Also. One Screw Is Needed To Tighten The Case Onto The Kindle. The Stylus Holder May Require A Bit Of 'Conditioning' By Filing And Repeatedly Sliding The Stylus In And Out. Also In Order To Plug In A Usb Cable For Charging You Need To Modify The Rubber Bit Around The Plug With Some Flush-Cutters, Normal Micro Usb Connections Won'T Fit. The Thickness Of The Case Helps To Re-Assure Me That It Won'T Break Off. I Also Included A Raft In The Design. This Thing Just Fit On My Ultimaker'S Build Platform, So Your Mileage May Vary.
