Han Solo Blaster - Optimized for printing
Description
I Read The Comments On The Original Thingiverse Posting (Not Sure How I Missed...) After Original Posting Here. Reiterating Those Original Notes And Credits. - This Is A Blaster Is A Design For Han Solo From Star Wars - Designed Originally By Alan Stanford - Original Site:Https://Www.Myminifactory.Com/Object/Hans-Solo-Blaster-2488 I Have To Say This Is Likely The Favorite Piece I'Ve Printed To Date. Thanks To Smirf123 For Sharing The Design On Thingiverse Where I Found It... With The Exceptions Below, I Didn'T Make Changes To This Wonderful Design. Changes: 1) I Broke Apart The Breach. - I Printed The Trigger Upside Down With Support Only Around The Trigger - The Coil In Front Of The Trigger Box Is Now A Separate Item And Can Be Printed Coils Up With Supports To Base, But Not Touching Any External Feature (Very Clean To Print) And It Slides Right Onto The Trigger Portion In The Same Manner As The Rest Of The Build. 2) I Made The Sight Hollow... It'S A Sight After All, You Should Be Able To Look Through It. (Print It In Black Vertically - Clean Printing, And Faster). I Also Took Off The Adjuster Knob Off The Sight And Made It A Separate Part, Meaning No Supports For The Sight, And An Easier Print. 3) I Noticed That The Blaster Tip Fit Loosely... So I Designed An Adapter Which Snugly Fits On The Blaster "Top" And Allows The Tip To Slide On Snugly. 4) I Separated The Handles As I Like To Print 1 Piece At A Time... No Other Reason. Note: I Printed All Parts As Shown In The Images Above, Except The "Top", Which Is Showing On It'S Side... I Printed It Right Side Up, With Supports. 2019 Addition: 5) Upon Request, I Split The "Top.Stl" Into 2 Parts ("Splita" And "Splitb") To Facilitate Printing On Smaller Bed Printers. I Have Not Tried To Print These (They Will Require Supports, As The Original "Top.Stl" Did As Well).
