i3 A8 Badass DiggityDank MK8 Carriage

Description

If You Own An I3 Mk1 Clone, Throw Aside Your 3 Aluminum Bearing Blocks, 6 Snap Rings, 14 Screws, Belt Clamp, & Metal Carriage Bracket, Because This Carriage Fully Integrates What Had Been 28 Separate Pieces Of Hardware Into A Mere 4. Also Suitable For Other I3 Clones. This Carriage Is Smaller & Lighter Than Most I3 Clone Carriages, Meaning Less Mass And Less Vibration. This Carriage Also Places The Extruder Tip 20Mm Closer To The Bottom Linear Bearing, Instantly Giving You A 220X220X260 Build Area, And The Sash Latch & Front Clip Give Instant Access To Printer Head Removal. ***Notice*** Print A Necessary Nozzle Before Installing Carriage. The Blower Position Puts The Duct 3.5Mm Left Shifted From The Extruder Tip. Simply Load The .Stl File Of Any Preferred Anet A8 Nozzle Into Tinkercad & Mirror The Image. It'S The Same Offset As The A8, Only In The Opposite Direction. ***Notice*** Do Not Print With Basic Pla. Only Print Using Pla+, Petg, Or Preferably Abs. I'Ve Never Had An Issue, But Basic Pla Has A Glass Transition Of Only 60°C. Many Have Complained Of The Extruder Stepper Getting Hot Enough To Soften & Deform The Carriage. History: Simhopp Spit Out The Idea Of A Unified Carriage Concept, & I Ran With It, Basically Remixing The Thing All To Hell. I Removed The Inner Bracket Inserts To Allow For A Wider Variety Of Motors, I Widened The Front Clip To Better Support The Blower, I Replaced The Blower Hook With A Screw Tab. I Moved The Sash Latch Further Back To Not Hit The Blower Housing. I Mirrored The Sash Latch So The Tension Pulley Knob Wouldn'T Be In The Way. I Removed Excess Material From Carriage. I Pulled The Brackets Out By 4Mm So The Fan Wouldn'T Hit The X-Stop, Adding More X-Axis Travel Via A 20Mm Trigger Foot. I Raised The Bracket By 20Mm, Placing The Tip 5Mm From The Bottom Bearing, Giving An Additional 20Mm Of Vertical Build Space (You May Need To Update Firmware If You Have An Integrated Height Limit).
