Solder Fume Extractor Foot w/Separate Pin
Description
You May Want To Scale The Pin Down By 2% To Ensure Fit I Modified This Design In Order To Address Some Mechanical Weakness Concerns On The Original Part. Some People Had Pointed Out That The Hinge Pin Tends To Snap Off. Instead Of Trying To Print The Foot With More Infill, A Thicker Perimeter, Or Even Solid, I Decided To Make The Hinge Pin A Separate Part That Could Be Printed Using Different Setting To Optimize Its Strength. An Added Bonus Is That The Foot Can Be Printed Using Material Now That It Won'T Weaken The Hinge. The Rest Of The Parts And The Instructions Are On The [Original Part](Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:69729). It Was For A 120Mm Fan... Scale All Parts Accordingly For Different Sized Fans. If You Use The Vertical Printing Version Of The Pin, I'D Recommend Printing It Solid With 3 Perimeter (Shell) Layers, To Give It More Strength. I Also Included A Version That Has A Side Shaved Off That Should Allow That Side To Lay Flat On The Build Plate, Providing For A Stronger Part In The Requisite Axises. The Foot Itself Should Be Able To Be Printed With Minimal Infill And Less Shell Thickness. This Thing Was Made With Tinkercad.
