Saber's Hictop Prusa i3 XZ-Axis
Description
Please Note: - This Is A Work In Progress And May Or May Not Be Missing Features Required By Some. - My Print (As Shown In Photos) Were Printed Mirrored Along The X-Axis So I Had To Install Them Upside Down, But They Still Work The Same Way. - Please Read Info And Notices Below. Info: These Parts Make Up An Improved Version Of The Stock Hictop Xz-Axis. This Is Like Many Of The Other Xz Axis Designs Out There With A Different Take On How To Adjust X-Axis Belt Tightness. This Design Does Away With The Small 8Mm Fanged Bearings Used As The Idler On The Right Side In Favor Of A 20T 5Mm Bore Toothless Idler Pulley Designed For 6Mm Wide Gt2 Belts. The Larger Diameter Of The Idler Decreases X-Axis Friction Substantially When The Belt Is Tight, While At The Same Time Keeps The Belt Parallel With It Self. Notices: - If You Use A Z-Axis Endstop That Mounts To A Xz-Axis Part, Then Comment Below And I May Add A Version That Accommodates That. - You Will Need A New X-Axis Belt As This Method Of X-Axis Belt Adjustment Requires A Much Longer Belt Than The Stock Printer As Well As Many Other Designs. Required Parts: Stock Parts: X Stepper, X4 Lm8Uu Bearings (Or Equivalent), X Rods, Z Rods, Etc... A Hictop Style Prusa I3 Design With 8Mm Lead-Screws And Their Respective Flange Nuts. X10 M3 X10 Screws (Two Of These Can Be Longer) X10 M3 Nuts X1 M5 X25 Bolt (Or Similar Length) X1 M5 Nylon Insert Nut (Regular Nut May Work) X1 20T 5Mm Bore Toothless Idler Pulley For 6Mm Wide Gt2 Belts Probably A Longer Gt2 X-Axis Belt.
