Keyhole Hanger / Mount Plug
Description
After Getting Frustrated Trying To Get My Keyhole Router Bit To Work Reliably, (Really Cheap One), I Decided To Try Something Else. I Designed This So It Can Be Used On The Edge Of A 3/4" Thick Board To Mount To A Screw In A Wall. It Will Snugly Fit Into A 5/8" Hole That'S 1/2" Deep. Definitely Recommend Using A Forestner Bit To Drill The Hole. The Screws Will Need To Have A Head No Wider Than 1/4" And A Shank Of About 1/8". I Applied A 5 Minute Epoxy To The Hole Then Pressed In The Plug. So Far They'Re Working Great! I Haven'T Tested How Much Weight These Will Support, But Seem To Be Pretty Sturdy As Long As They'Re Glued In Securely. Another Thing That'S Nice About This Over A Keyhole Router Bit Is That These Should Be More Secure In The Edge Of A Piece Of Plywood.
