JPN Extruder for CMYK+ colorprinting
Description
The Joined Pinion Extruder, Proposal For The Multi/Fullcolor Printing. Many Concepts Are Based On The Bowden Extruders. One Drawback Of The Bowden Is A Slag Hysteresis When Extrude/Retract. This Makes The Accurate Color Mixing Difficult. Obviously Placing 4-6 Stepper Motors Next To Print Head Would Be Problematic Because Of Space And Mass. But, Why We Would Need The Own Motor For The Each Filament... I Started To Think If Less Is More. To Add Actuator (E.G Servo) Controlled Gearbox The One Stepper Motor Could Drive (In Principle Limitless) Numerous Filaments. In This Example There Are 6 Filaments E.G. For Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black And White & Transparent. The Concept Is Based On 3 Sliding Pinion Gears (Red Arrows), Controlled By Servo. The Pinions Are Two Main Gears Wide So They Can Drive More Than One Filament At The Same Time. The Primary Pinion (Next To Motor) Selects The Left, Right Or Both Extruder Main Shafts. (Obviously Using The Dog Teeth Gears Selection Will Give Even More Flexibility To Select Any Filament Combination) The Filament Is Selected By Moving The The Small Pinions To The Position Required. If Needed The Pinion Can Drive Two Parallel Filaments/Side At The Same Time. The Parallel Drive Will Be Useful When Retract Filaments. The Colors Will Be Mixed In The Nozzle But Simultaneous Retract And Direct Drive Allows Precis Control. Newer Design Available, Ss (Super Charged) Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2195351
