SOIC8 Chip Package Holder
Description
I Didn'T Have A Programming Clip, So I Created This Soic8 (Attiny85) Chip Holder So I Could Prototype Using My Breadboard. Each Hole For Breadboard Jumpers Are At An Angle So There Is Plenty Of Clearance. There Is A Hole Under The Chip So You Can Eject It Easily. There Is A Chip Orientation Marker. (Albeit Very Small). I Would Mark With A Black Marker! It'S A Teeny Tiny Chip, Just Be Careful Inserting Your Chip Because You Already Know The Pins Are Very Fragile. Try To Lower It Straight So As To Not Bind The Pins. I Use A Breadboard Jumper Pin To Carefully Press The Pins To The Bottom Of The Cavity. The Breadboard Jumper Pin Actually Go Over The Top Of The Foot Of Each Pin, Which Helps Hold The Chip In Place And Provides Better Connectivity. Enjoy!
