Anet A8 - Tensioner for X Axis
Description
Updates 27/10/2019 I Deleted The Previous Design Mostly Because It Could Be Misleading, But Also Because It Spent More Plastic, Needed And Special Jig And Epoxy Glue To Be Assembled And Could Be Made Smaller And More Efficient. Updates 11/07/2019 I Uploaded A New Redesign Of The Tensioner. It Doesn'T Have Those Long Rectangular Bars Anymore, And It'S Way More Compact. It Has A Reccess On Both Sides So It Can Still Fit If Your X 8Mm Rods Are Sticking Out For Some Reason. Updates 30/07/2017 All The Pieces Were Reuploaded. No Significant Changes Were Made, Only Chamfers And Similar Stuff. No Dimensions Were Changed. Old Model And New One Are Completely Compatible With Each Other. Updates 28/07/2017 Uploaded A Cutaway View To Make Assembly Easier. The Inner Bars Should Be Epoxi Or Ca Glued To The Inner Piece Of The Assembly. This Is A A Different X Axis Belt Tensioner For Anet A8. It'S Based On The One By Wedgesd. Changes: -The Bars (Guides) Of The Inner Piece Now Are Separated From The Piece Itself, So You Can Print The Inner Piece Vertically And The Bars Horizontally. They Should Be Glued With Epoxi,Or Ca Using The Spacer If Desired To Keep Them Aligned. (Watch Out So The Spacer Doesn'T Stick To The Glue) -The Back Part Of Both Main Pieces Now Is Completely Flat, So It Leaves A Smooth Finish And There'S No Need Of Supports. -The Knob Can Be Use With Any X Or Y Tensioner. Needed: -M4X20 Hex Bolt -M4 Hex Nut .M4 Washers (X2) (Optional) -20Mm Spring Around The M4 Bolt -M3X25Mm Bolt For The Idler Pulley -M3 Washers (X6) (Optional) Assembly: Check Cutaway Side View (Third Picture) For Better Understanding. M4 Washers Can Be Put At Each Side Of The Spring. M3 Washers Can Be Put Between M3 Bolt/Nut And Printed Parts, Between Inner And Outer Case And At Each Side Of The Idler. Works With: Fully Compatible With Either Toothless Or Toothed Idler Pulley. Thanks To @Simonsays1 For The Input. Any Feedback Is Welcome!
