Freigewehr-V2.5
Description
After Numerous Redesigns And Part Replacements, The Freigewehr-V2.5 Represents My Contribution To The Humans Vs Zombies (Hvz) And Nerf Community. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Update (12 Nov 2017) This Project Has Been Temporarily Benched Due To The Limitations Of The Selected Components. Using Only 2 Relays And A Couple Switches, Achieving Anything Other Than A Full-Auto Dart-Machine Is Quite Difficult. More Controlled Fire And A More Adaptable System Is Being Explored In This Project'S Successor (V3). Update (5 May, 2017) Front End Cage, Slightly Revised To More Easily Allow Insertion Of Optional 9/16" Brass, And Wiring. Frontend 2.5.5 Verified Working Flywheel Shaft-Hole Slightly Widened For Easier Fitting On 360-Sized Motors. Update: (3 May, 2017) After An Attempted Build Last Week, I Will Be Posting Slightly Revised Front And Back Ends With A Bill Of Materials. Back End Revision: Added A Corresponding Hole For The Wires To Travel Internally. Front End Revision: Removed Excess Material, Allowing For The Wires To More Easily Enter The Front Through The Midsection. Additionally, This Project Has Been Once Again Marked As A "Work-In-Progress" Due To A Mechanical Glitch In The Front End. Printing At The Limit Of My Current Capabilities, I Am Unable To Print The Wheels And Motor Gears In A Way Such That They Don'T Occasionally Jam. This Jam Cause My One Of My Motors To Give Off A Healthy Puff Of Smoke. There Are Now 2 Independent Pairs Of Front Ends And Covers. I Have Been Unable To Get The Indirect Bearing And Gear-Drive Working, Due To Print/Design Problems. Despite Redesigning The Gears Repeatedly With Increasing Tolerances, The Gears Quickly Find Jamming Points While Spinning And Cause Issues. Unless Redesigning The Front-End, I Would Suggest Sticking To The Direct-Drive Configuration.
