Expandable Hose Male End

Expandable Hose Male End

Description

This Is A Replacement For Damaged Male Ends For The Expandable "Pocket" Hoses. I Created This Replacement To Mimic The Original That Broke, But Modified It So It Could Be Printed Without Supports So You Don'T Have To Mess With Cleaning Threads Out. I Also Made The Decorative Cap Larger To Allow Use Of A 3/8" Pex Clamp To Hold The Hose To The End. Make Sure You Print The Main Body At 100% Infill. The High Water Pressure Is Sometimes Enough To Break Through A Normal Print And Will Allow Water To Fill The Voids Eventually Breaking Through The Outer Shell. The Cap Is Fine To Print At What You See Fit, It Is Simply Decorative To Hide The Clamp. For Assembly, Simply Remove The Damaged End By Cutting The Hose With Scissors. Make Sure To Hold The Hose Tight When Doing So, The Inner Hose Can Retract Into The Outer Webbing And Can Be Difficult To Get Back! Next, Push A Few Cm Of Webbing Back While Holding The Inner Hose. Then Slide Your Cap And Clamp On Far Enough To Give Some Working Room. Slide The Inner Hose Over The New End And Follow By The Outer Webbing And Clamp. Crimp The Clamp Making Sure To Get The Outer Webbing As Well. If You Don'T, The Inner Hose Will Expand And Pop - The Webbing Is What Holds Everything Together. Finally, Slide Your Cap Up And Cover Your Handiwork. Ta-Da!
