Magswitch MagJig mini base

Magswitch MagJig mini base

Description

I Wanted To Mount A Featherboard On My Tablesaw Fence. The Commercially-Available Magswitch Bases Are Way Too Wide For That, So I Made This Mini Version To Get The Job Done. Since My Printer'S Bed Is Too Small To Print A Base The Same Length As The Commercial Bases, I Designed This Mini Base So That I Could Use Two Of Them To Mount One Of Magswitch'S Featherboards. To Keep Things Flexible, I Added Additional Bolt Slots To Accommodate Smaller Parts With 80Mm And 100Mm-Wide Mounting Patterns. To Help Prevent Bolts From Flying Everywhere When Breaking Down A Jig-Setup, And Keep The Bolts Steady Once They'Re Inserted, I Covered The Slots And Left An Oval Hole Just Big Enough To Wiggle Through The Head Of A 1/4"-20 Carriage Bolt. Magswitch'S Stock 45 Degree Risers Are Intended For Use With A Base That'S Mounted On The Same Level As The Workpiece And Didn'T Work Well With Fence-Mounted Bases. I Designed "Magjig_Riser_Right_Angle" To Allow Featherboards To Reach The Table Surface. My Mini Featherboards Are Designed To Attach To These Bases: Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2284341
