T.I.P. M.E. Spool Arm Adapter for Maker Select

Description

**The Incredible Piece Of Missing Equipment (T.I.P. M.E.) Spool Arm Adapter For Maker Select** One Of The Only Real Immediate Frustrations That I Had When Getting My Monoprice Maker Select V2.1 Printer Was That The Spool Arm Is Only One Size And Doesn'T Accommodate Different Size Spools Of Filament. I Decided To Fix That Problem. **Design Features:** * Fully Adjustable With 3 Spool Width Settings * Bearing Compatible * Full Tension Adjustment To Prevent Unspooling * Utilizes The Original Monoprice Maker Select Spool Arm For Added Strength And Less Required Printing. * Original Spool Arm Can Easily Be Used Instead If Needed By Rotating The Spool Arm 180 Degrees. **Spool Width Settings** The Small Setting Works For Esun Spools, The Mid Setting For Hatchbox And The Large Setting Holds Spools Slightly Wider Than That (78.6Mm With Tension Pad Installed). **Bearings And Bushings** This Spool Arm Adapter Was Designed To Use Two 7Mm X 14Mm X 5Mm Bearings. I Have Also Included The Parts Necessary To Use The Ever Popular 608 Bearing. For Those People Who Don'T Have Bearings, There Are Bushings That You Can Print Out That Are The Same Size As Either Bearing. **Tension Adjustment** The Problem With Using Bearings With This Adapter Is That It Spooled Too Well And On Occasion My Filament Roll Would Actually Start To Unspool With The Movement Of The Extruder Pushing Back The Filament. I Added A Tension Device That Requires One M3 10Mm Screw, Which You Will Carefully Need To Thread Into The Hole, If You Want To Use That Feature. The Tension Pad Acts Like A Brake Against The Spool So That You Can Dial Everything In Until It Spins As Freely As You Like, But No More. **Please Note** That The Tension Adjustment Feature Does Not Work With The 608 Bearing/Bushing, As It Was Originally Designed For The Smaller Bearings/Bushings. I Could Probably Be Persuaded To Make It Work With The 608 If I Knew People Wanted It. I Hope That Someone Finds This Useful. A Lot Of Time And Pla Went Into Designing This Thing.
