Experimental 3-Blade Propeller
Description
Experimental 3-Bladed Prop With The Idea Of Noise Reduction By Notching The Trailing Edge. This Borrows From The Recent Noise-Reduction Method Used On The Ducting Of Jet Airliners, Where Notching Is Used To Blend The Air Coming From High And Low Pressure Areas. Figured The Same Just Might Work On Propellers. A Plain Version Is Also Included For Purposes Of Comparison Or Establishing A Baseline In Terms Of Performance. --- Edit --- Just Did Some More Research. Seems The Basis For This Idea Isn'T That New. Https://Www.Google.Com/Patents/Us4089618 Still, This General Idea Might Be An Interesting Thing To Look Into. Quieter Props Do Seem Like Something That Would Be Useful For Some R/C Aircraft Applications.
