Extruder Re-locate
Description
I Made This Part So I Could Move The Extruder And Shorten The Bowden Tube. The Part Prints Flat With No Supports. I Did Have To Place It On The Bed At An Angle As It Was Right At The Edge Of Travel With The Skirt. The Part Is Designed To Slide Over The X-Axis Extrusion And Mount In Place With The Outer Most 2 Screws For The X-Axis Stepper. I Did Have To Use 6Mm Screws To Mount The Extruder Motor, Leave Those Screws Loose Until The Rest Of The Stock Extruder Parts Are Mounted Onto The Bracket. Then Push The Motor Tight To The Extruder Assembly And Tighten It In Place. For Some Reason The Stock 38.5Mm Center Distance Did Not Work For Me So The Part Has Slots. For The Bowden Tube I Would Start With A 500Mm Length And Cut It To Fit. Last Thing I Did Was To Zip Tie All Of The Wires To The Bowden Tube And Then Make A Cable Clamp(Strip Cut Out Of A Pop Bottle) That I Mounted To The Extruder Pivot Screw. Almost Forgot, The Screw For The Small Extruder Gear Needs To Be Replaced With A 3Mm Set Screw To Clear The Printed Bracket 6/11/17 Update: I Added Another Bracket Made To Support A Belt Drive. The Belt Drive Setup Requires Gt2 Pulleys With A 60 Tooth And 16 Tooth Count With 5Mm Bores. For The Belt I Am Using A 79 Tooth Gt2 X 6Mm Belt(Sourced Through Sdp-Si.Com), Though I Think An 80 Tooth Would Work As Well. As A Starting Point Set The Steps Per Mm For E To 538.2.
