Flying Saucer UFO Fidget Spinner Hand Spinner
Description
Kids Are Obsessed With Fidget Spinners These Days... I Wanted One That Looked Like A Flying Saucer, But Not A Traditional Spinner. This Model Has A Center That Spins, But The Top And Bottom Of The Saucer Are Fixed On The Peg. Requires 1 608 Spinner Bearing. The Center Section Has 8 M8 Or 5/16 Nuts For Weight That Are Printed Into The Model. I Paused The Print At Layer 63 To Insert The Hardware (.12 Layer Height). If Your Fingers Are Small Enough - Mine Are Not, You Can Hold The Center And Spin The Outer Part Too, So I Added Holes For 4 608 Bearings To Weight The Top, If You Don'T Want To Weight The Outside, You Can Print 2 Of The Part Labeled Bottom. This Works Well As A Propelled Top Too, That'S My Favorite Way To Use It. I Spin The Center Section As Hard As I Can While Holding The Top And Bottom Dome, Then Set It On A Counter And The Top And Bottom Begin To Accelerate And It Will Spin On The Bottom Dome For Quite Some Time. My Second Version Which Is More Like A Traditional Fidget Spinner Is Posted At This Link Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2327987 Print 1 Top, 1 Bottom (Or 2 Bottom Or Top), 1 Center, 1 Peg, And 4-6 Of The Washers To Space The Center So That It Does Not Have Friction With The Top And Bottom. I Have Not Gotten This To Work Friction Free Yet, But It Does Spin Pretty Well.
