Desiccant Box V2 - NO SANDING

Desiccant Box V2 - NO SANDING

Description

**Edit: Updated To V2!** I'Ve Made Some Improvements Since I Initially Posted This Thing. New In V2: -Made Slots Slightly Smaller To Reduce The Chance Of Broken Beads Falling Out -Fixed Slot Spacing To Be The Same On Every Face -Added A Smaller Version **Original Summary** I Went Looking For A Plain, Rectangular Desiccant Box But The First One I Printed Was Too Small And The Second Required Too Much Sanding. So I Gave Up And Designed My Own! It Has A Snap-On Lid And Requires No Sanding. The Large Size Absorbs Moisture Quickly And Allows Me To Go Longer Between Bake-Drying My Desiccant. The Smaller Size Is Better Suited To Smaller Enclosures And Vacuum Bags. If You Print With Abs You Can Bake-Dry The Desiccant In The Box. I Dry Mine At 220°F (104°C) For Several Hours With No Problem. I'Ve Tried Pla And It Tends To Sag A Little Bit At This Temp. But If You Dial Back The Temperature And Bake For Longer You'Ll Probably Be Ok. Another Option For Pla Is To Dump The Beads Into A Pie Tin To Bake, Then Let Them Cool Completely Before Putting Them Back In The Box.
