Description

I Really Liked The Design Of "Mpsm Side-Port V6 Hot-End Mount For Abs By Dtew, Published Mar 16, 2017" Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2180550 This Cooling Shroud Is Very Well Thought Out. The Airflow Is Absolutely Ideal For Printing Abs On The Mp Select Minit, However, I Didn'T Always Want To Print Abs. I Needed To Have Part Cooling When I Was Printing Pla, So, I Made This Replacement E3D Bracket And Air Duct Inspired By "Mp Select Mini 40Mm Part Cooling Duct For E3D Zero-Offset Mount By Wallythegecko, Published Mar 27, 2017" Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2206583 I Really Liked The Way Wallythegecko Designed His Mount. The Cooling Duct Can Be Flipped Up Out Of The Way When Not Needed, But It Was 90 Degrees To The Right, And The Mount And Nozzle Opening Were Offset From Center, So I Redesigned The Mount And The Duct In Fusion 360. The E3D Cooler Should Be Made In A Plastic That Can Handle High Temp. I Printed Mine In Pla Because I Am Still Trying To Get A Handle On Abs Printing. However, With The E3D Cooling Fan Powered On 100% Of The Time, I Am Confident It Can Keep The Parts Cool Enough That The Pla Doesn'T Deform. So Far, After About 40 Hours Of Printing, Everything Is Still The Right Shape. And, Now I Can Control The Cooling Fan Separately From The E3D Cooling Fan Using Embedded G-Code Commands. 73 Va3Tne
