SurfaceWrite
Description
This Is Just A First Sample Of What I Think I Will Call "Surfacewrite"! I Say This Because This Method Allows You To Add Your Own Customized Text To ( At Least, In Theory ) Almost Any ( "Watertight" ) Object! Although I Have Not Tried It Yet, You Should Be Able To Add Other Items / Objects To The "Surface" As Well! The Interesting Part, Is That When It Comes Down To It, This Is Just A Relatively Simple "Formula", That Can Be Used To Calculate A "Surface Area" For ( Almost ) Any Object. I Say "Almost", Because I Had Problems With Several Models I Tried To Use. My Software Informed Me That All Of Them Were Not "Watertight". I Was Able To "Fix" One Of Them ( The "Knob" ) , Using Www.Makeprintable.Com , After Which The Process Ran Ok. A Major Advantage Of This Approach Is That It Allows You To Use Any Font File / Style That Is Listed Under The Openscad "Help" Menu - "Font List" Option. I Am Still Working On The "Include" / "Example" Scad Files. But I Just Wanted To See What Everyone Thought!
