Description

Double-Action Reciprocating Piston Pump Driven By A Crank. Right Now It'S In Early Wip Stage, So There'S Likely Some Stuff That'Ll Be Added Later On. Piston Ends Need O-Rings To Seal And Also Needs Some Check Valves To Actually Work, Although I May Model Those In Later. I Think Most Mechanically Inclined People Can Figure Out How The Pieces Will Go Together, Since It'S Not Too Complicated. --- Edit --- Made A Few Changes Since First Posting This. The Two Illustration Renders Should Make It A Bit More Clear. Most Things Should Go Together Now, Yet It Still Needs Some Fastener Holes. Also At The Moment I'M Leaving Off The Valving That'S Needed For This To Work As A Pump. Takes 4 Check Valves And Two T-Connectors For This To Work, Other Than That The Idea For How The Piston Works To Displace The Fluid Should Be Fairly Workable. Just A Square End On The One Drive Shaft, And I Could Model A Crank If You Really Need It. Also I Think This Might Be Easy To Do A Through Shaft Version To Have Double-Cranked Or Operated By Pedaling. Let Me Know If There'S Any Interest In That In The Comments. --- Edit --- Added Through Holes For Fastening The Center Casing Parts. So It Should Be Able To Be Bolted Together. As For Sizing? I Didn'T Really Design Around Specific Dimensions. If You Want To Make This Thing, I'D Say To Scale It For A Desired Piston Diameter That An O-Ring Would Fit It Correctly. Most Other Parts In Relation Should Be Easier To Come By. (If You Have Any Feedback On That, I Can Probably Adjust The Scale To Facilitate Easier Fabrication.) Other Than That, I'M Not An Engineer. So I Tried To Error On Having Things More On The Beefy Side For The Materials I'D Think Most People Would Use. I Just Came Up With This Because I Still Think There'S A Certain Art To Making Mechanical Things That Are Potentially Useful. Again If Somebody Has A Successful Build, I'D Like To Know. (Still Too Short On Cash To Have The Means To Make My Own 3D Prints.) --- Edit 6/13/2017 --- Added My Own Model Of A Check Valve As A Separate File. The Valve Insert Piece Should Be Made Of Something Flexible Enough For The Spring Portion To Work. Keep In Mind That Four Are Needed For This Pump To Work As Intended. Later On I May Make A Different Version Of The Cylinder End And Integrate The Valves Into It. --- Edit --- Revised Version Of The Check Valve. Some Openings Added For More Flow After Lift.
