Encoder Wheel with two rows of 48 slits
Description
This Encoder Is Parametrized. It Is Written In Openscad. It Has Two Stripes Near The Edge. Each Has 48 Slits. Both Strips Are Aligned Asymmetrically To Produce Different Phase-Lag When Wheel Rotates In Different Directions. Moreover The Open And Close Area Of Each Strip Are Not Equal To Each Other. This Might Help In Increasing The Noise-Margin If You Are Using Optical Or Infra-Red Led/Diode Pair To Detect Opening And Closing (1 And 0). If You Are Using Ir Photo-Diode, Make Sure That Led Is Not Strong Enough To Penetrate The Wheel. I Hope That This Design Is Better Suited To Detect Both Speed And Direction. If You Are Only Interested In Measuring Speed, Use Any Of The Strip.
