CraftBot Top Enclosure
Description
Update (2017/06/22): Craftunique Recently Released A Petg Dome Cover With An 80Mm Activated Carbon Filter For Craftbot Plus & Craftbot 2. Https://Craftunique.Com/Item/Craftbot2-Petg-Dome-Cover --------------------------------------------------------- Below Is My Custom Top Enclosure For My Craftbot Prior To Craftunique'S New Dome Cover, See Above. I Purchased The 5-Sided Acrylic Clear Cube From Misterplexi, Part Number Is: Ac14-16, A 14"W X 14"D X 14"H Cube With The Bottom Open. Http://Www.Misterplexi.Com/Products/Ac14-16.Html Just Print Out The Box Holders, Screw Them To The Top Of Your Craftbot, Put The Box On It, Load Your Filament From Under In The Back And You'Re Ready To Print. Note: I Have Heard From Other Craftbot Users Reported That With Fully Enclosed (Based On Other Enclosure Designs), The Temperature Inside May Rise Too High Which May Affect Your Print Results Or Extruder/Hotend, Especially In A Hot Summer Day. So My Design Probably Would Face Above Similar Issues. If That Happens, Then You May Want To Consider Cutting A Small Opening On Top To Help Keep The Heat Inside Under Better Control. I Don'T Print Large Objects Often So I Don'T Have Much Issues So Far. My Main Concern Is To Keep The Abs Fume Inside As Much As Possible. I Can Smell The Fume But It'S A Lot Less With The Top Enclosure On. There Are Some Minor Gaps Between The Holder. So Far It Works Adequately And Meets My Need, So I Will No Longer Work On It Anymore. However, Please Feel Free To Modify It Or Come Up With Your Own Design. Enjoy!
