QAV_R motor guard (with Dual material Print)
Description
My Remix Of A Motor Guard For My Qav-R Quadcopter Frame. In Tinkercad I Merged Together The Guard From Sl33Py Dog (Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1668742) With Mounting Holes From Meoster (Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1416929). I Wanted The Mounts To Be Able To Withstand A Crash And I Had A Sample Of Ninjaflex So I Printed The Whole Guard. Unfortunately Using Ninjaflec I Was Unable To Tighten The Motor Screws Without Pushing All The Way Through The Flexible Material. So I Decided To Try To Make A Dual Pla/ Ninjaflex Print. Using Meshmixer I Sliced The Model So The Bottom 2/3 Of The Mount Would Be Pla And The Rest Would Be Ninjaflex. Using Replicatorg I Created Gcode For Both Parts And Merged Them. To Get Good Prints With The Ninjaflex I Need A Lot Of Heat And Slow Printing. Used 240 Degrees For The Flexible Filament Temperature, It Oozes, But Under This Temperature And I Can'T Seem To Get Good Extrusion. For Printing Speed I Used 30Mm/S With 60Mm/S Travel With The Pla Profile Selected, This Was Too Fast, So I Ended Up Manually Slowing The Print Speed Down To 65% Using The Onscreen Menu During Printing. Came Out Better Than I Thought They Would, Good Adhesion Between Pla And Ninjaflex.
