Description
This Floppy Disk Drive Housing Was Designed Using Tinkercad. The Housing Consists Of Two Pieces: A Stand And A Cover. The Stand Solidly Supports The Body Of The Drive While Also Allowing The Spindle Motor To Spin The Platter(S) Freely. The Cover Functions As A Kind Of Roof, To Keep The Drive From Incurring Damage From Dust And Other Environmental Factors. The Cover And Stand Are Separate Pieces So That The Cover Can Lift Off Easily, Providing Access To The Drive Head. Likewise, The Front And Back Of The Drive Are Left Exposed So That A Data Cable Connecting The Drive To A Kryoflux Can Be Plugged In In The Back, And A Floppy Disk Can Be Inserted Into The Front.
