mSATA to SATA adapter enclosure for PC Engines APU/APU2
Description
This Is [Another](Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1481056) Way To Use The Sata Port Which Is Present On All [Pc Engines](Http://Pcengines.Ch/) [Apu](Http://Pcengines.Ch/Apu.Htm)/[Apu2](Http://Pcengines.Ch/Apu2.Htm) Boards. It'S Actually An Enclosure For An [Msata To Sata Adapter](Http://S.Click.Aliexpress.Com/E/Femvnzv), That I Combined With My [Minipci Dummy/Placeholder](Https://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:2450576) (I Used A Small Velcro Strip To Attach Them To Each Other For Stability). The Linked Adapter Just Slides Into The Enclosure. Note That It Seems To Be Increasingly Difficult To Find Ssd With Msata Connectors, As The Format Is Apparently Being Phased Out And Replaced By [M.2](Https://En.Wikipedia.Org/Wiki/M.2). I Found [This Adapter](Http://S.Click.Aliexpress.Com/E/Iaurb6E) Which Lets You Use A 42Mm (Or 30Mm, Should You Find One) M.2 Ssd In An Msata Slot. I Haven'T Tested It Myself Yet, But I Will Update The Text Here Once I'Ve Done So. For My Next Build I Might Also Use This [M.2 To Sata Adapter](Http://S.Click.Aliexpress.Com/E/6Mvzzvn) Directly, And Adapt The Enclosure Accordingly (Should Be Fairly Easy As The Openscad File Is Entirely Parametric).
